Dr. Ingo Stürmer is CTO & Head of Technology at Volvo Autonomous Solutions, leading the technology strategy for autonomous transport. He brings over two decades of experience in autonomous system development, with previous senior roles at CARIAD (VW Group), Audi, Aptiv, Cruise, and Einride spanning passenger car automation programmes, software-defined vehicle platforms, robotaxi applications, and scalable Tier 1 system offerings. Ingo studied at Bundeswehr University Munich and holds a PhD in software engineering in the area of safety-critical software & system development. He is deeply engaged with the question of how established industries move from autonomous prototypes to industrial-scale production and operations. He is based in Gothenburg, Sweden.
