Speed in in-house Software Development

How can agile working models help holding software development together and motivate Software Developers? Alexandra Kloß is a Product Owner at BMW Group and one of the Keynote Speakers in Track F Software Development & Digitalization on the second day of VECS 2025. Alexandra works in the infotainment software development for the all-new Panoramic Vision head up display due to be released in the “Neue Klasse”. She is very passionate about unconscious biases and how they prevent us from developing the best product possible. Also, she has profound experience in team development and workshop facilitation. We asked Alexandra a few rapid-fire questions prior to the event in Gothenburg.

Could you please introduce yourself and your work at BMW Group?

I am Alexandra Kloß a product owner in the infotainment software development for the all-new Panoramic Vision head up display due to be released in the “Neue Klasse”. I am very passionate about creating the best user experience with high quality software.

What will you speak about at VECS 2025?

How to create real speed in in-house software development by steering the best circumstances for and with the development team and by using the most suitable tool chain.

How can we increase speed in software development?

By increasing the product quality in the very first implementation and by that saving an enormous amount of time!

How do you believe we should be using agile working models?

I truly believe there are great principles that we can use from Agile, such as inspecting and adapting. Using transparency and trust as a main pillar for your team building is also a great idea.

What is the most important thing you would like to share in your presentation?

That speed is best obtained by quality. In-house development with scattered partners within the company is a challenge, but absolutely feasible and a tremendous improvement to supplier development as we used to do.

What are you most looking forward to by attending and speaking at the event?

I am very much looking forward to the brilliant exchange with automotive people from all over Europe and even the world as I had last time.
