Ayad grew up in Lebanon and was kidnapped as an 18-year-old. The following year he fled to Sweden, where he ended up in Dalarna and started selling watches in markets. Since then, Ayad has managed to turn around five loss-making companies, including Ur&Penn and Åhléns.
